1. What is the characteristic of the International Joint Audit Institute, Nanjing Audit University?

As a non-independent legal person, the International Joint Audit Institute, Nanjing Audit University, is officially approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and jointly organized by Nanjing Audit University and SKEMA Business School in France. This institute is located in Nanjing, and it belongs to Nanjing Audit University as a sub-institute.  


2. What are the introduction and rankings of SKEMA, the partner institute in France?

SKEMA is a member of the SAI and CGE, SKEMA Business School is one of the largest elite business schools in France, and this school is too authorized by EQUIS, AACSB and EFMD EMBA at the same time. With 160 years history, and 7 international campuses on 5 continents, this school is ranked top 6 (overall) in France. According to Financial Times, SKEMA's MBA Finance degree is ranked top 3 in this world. And according to QS World University Rankings, SKEMA's MBA Finance degree is ranked 27th, and MBA Management is ranked 30th, both globally.


3. What is the basic school system of the International Joint Audit Institute, Nanjing Audit University?

The basic school system is "4+0", which means, the entire four years study are all in Chinese campus. Students can enjoy internationalised educational resources without going abroad.


4. What kinds of degrees and diplomas will students obtain after graduation?

Students who have completed their academic qualifications will receive a bachelor degree and a diploma from Nanjing Audit University, as well as a bachelor degree from SKEMA Business School in France.


5. How much is the tuition fee?

The tuition fee of the institute is RMB 56,000 a year and the accommodation fee (quadruple room) is RMB 1500 a year, which are approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.


6. What is the location of the institute?

Currently, all students of the institute are temporarily studying at the Pukou Campus of Nanjing Audit University at 86 Yushan West Road, Jiangpu Street, Pukou District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.


7. What are the institute’s talent cultivating targets and program settings situation?

To meet the demand for comprehensive international audit talents in the future and the requirements of national audit reform, Nanjing Audit University and SKEMA have joined their forces to make full use of NAU's leading-level audit education and SKEMA Business School's advantages in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data. Around the concept of “Audit+”, the two institutes jointly offer four undergraduate programs, including BEc Financial Engineering (financial audit direction), BBA Auditing (internal audit direction), BBA Information Management and Information Systems (big data audit direction), and BBA Engineering Management (engineering audit direction), in order to cultivate high-level compound interdisciplinary audit talents with global vision and comprehensive knowledge of international auditing standards.


8. What is the admission policy?

The admission score line for undergraduate students is implemented according to the regulations of the provincial examination institute where the student is from, and the admission batch is same as other programmes' in NAU.

In 2020, the International Joint Audit Institute enrols students from 11 provinces and cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Guangdong, Hainan, Chongqing and Sichuan, with a total enrolment plan of 300 students. Among them, BEc Financial Engineering and BBA Audit enrol both liberal arts and science students, BBA Information Management and Information Systems and BBA Engineering Management only enrol science students. For Jiangsu province, the enrolling code is 1619, the enrollment is in the first batch, and the minimum requirement of the optional subjects is B/B. In the provinces where the college entrance exam has been reformed, the requirement of the optional subjects is in accordance with the local educational examination institute's announcement.


9. What are the teaching characteristics of the college?

All the courses in this institute are based on the standards of international authoritative certification bodies, and systematically introduce, absorb and integrate the advanced programmes of SKEMA Business School into the curriculum system. The institute has established a "four-in-one" mode of "general education module + professional education module + auditing education module + practice module" to design its curriculum system, and adopt a research-oriented interactive teaching mode. In each class, the number of students will be small, and two teachers will be responsible for the students' learning. 50% of the courses are taught by teachers from SKEMA, while Chinese PhD teachers with oversea background are also equipped. The teaching process is evaluated by both NAU and SKEMA, and an international third-party evaluation system too will be introduced to monitor the teaching quality throughout the process.


10. What are the cultivating characteristics of the college?

The institute adheres to the direction of Socialism, takes the Socialist Core Values as the guide, and builds a student-centered cultivating system. While attaching great importance to professional skills training, the institute pays more attention to the physical and mental health of students, the establishment of values, the accumulation of humanistic literacy and the improvement of the ability to pursue happiness. The institute provides students with personalized growth planning, as well as growth tutors,  society tutors, academic tutors and community tutors, namely “4 to 1” tracking guidance. Following the motto "Never compete with others, but with your own", the institute helps students understand themselves, accept themselves and develop themselves with growth points system.


11. Are there any requirements for the English scores of the college entrance examination? Can students adapt to teaching in English?

Candidates must choose English test in Chinese college entrance examination (Gao Kao). Due to the full English teaching mode, the result of the English test in the college entrance examination is expected to be above the pass.

The institute will adopt multiple measures to create a full-English education environment to help students master and use English to adapt to full-English teaching:

(1) After enrolment, all students should take a level-decision examination. The students with weak English foundation, will take optional language-improvement lessons.

(2) All the courses taught by SKEMA will also be taught by NAU teachers who have obtained overseas PHD degree.

(3) All the students are categorized into small classes to ensure each student's learning situation is under teachers' supervision.

(4) Students are required to use English for communication in daily life and class activities, in order to create an English language atmosphere.

(5) The students carry out a variety of extracurricular activities through English clubs and competitions in the second and third class, and participate in international exchange activities in the fourth class, to strengthen the practical using of English language.


12. How about the quality of the internationalised cultivation in NAU?

Over the years, adhering to the academic concept of providing high -quality internationalised education with its own characteristics, Nanjing Audit University has cultivated batches of high-level audit talents with international perspective, and forms a good social benefit and reputation.

   The existent Sino-foreign cooperative projects in NAU have high quality of education as well as high level of employment, and 60-70% of their graduates successfully apply for master degrees. The graduates are enrolled by the University of Oxford, Cambridge University, London School of Economics and Political Science, Johns Hopkins University, Melbourne University, the National University of Australia, the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, Monash University and other internationally renowned universities, etc.


13. What is the institute's vision for students' further study and employment?

The institute provides students guidance of education and employment, and encourages students to pursue further studies with their international undergraduate education background. The students can either take a domestic postgraduate program, or choose a foreign first-class university. Our "4+1" program with SKEMA Business School will provide students with access to France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, Australia and other countries. The institute cooperates with the University of Edinburgh, the University of Manchester, the University of Bristol, the University of Nottingham, the University of Glasgow, the University of Birmingham, the University of Melbourne, The Australian National University, the University of Sydney, the University of Queensland, Monash University, The University of Suffolk, St. Louis University, Oregon State University and dozens of other internationally renowned universities to strive to achieve an 80% promotion rate. 14. What are the differences between the International Joint Audit Institute and other ordinary Sino-foreign cooperative education projects?

The International Joint Audit Institute is a non-independent legal person Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution formally approved by the Ministry of Education, and is jointly managed by a joint management committee formed by the Chinese and foreign parties. Different from the ordinary Sino-foreign cooperative projects in the form of 2+2 or 3+1 segmented training model, the International Joint Audit Institute is highly integrated with both Chinese and foreign parties, and the students are cultivated jointly for the entire four-year undergraduate study without going abroad. The foreign dean is permanently stationed in NAU and is in charge of teaching. The whole teaching process is evaluated by China and France to ensure the quality of teaching.


15. What kinds of scholarship does the institute provide?

Nanjing Audit University has established national scholarship, auditor general scholarship, principal's scholarship, comprehensive scholarship, programme-studying award, new students scholarship, etc.  Students of the International Joint Audit Institute can declare all the scholarships above. In addition, the institute establishes its own individual scholarships. Students can contest both the scholarships offered by the university and the scholarships offered by the institute at the same time with a winning percentage of up to 40%.


16. Can students change their programmes after entering the institute?

According to the relative regulation of Jiangsu Education Department, the students who fulfil the institute's requirement of transferring programme can apply for a transfer among the 4 programmes of the institute. Due to the institute is Sino-foreign cooperative, the students cannot transfer to any other programmes in the other institutes in NAU.
