The topic of this English Corner was a debate on Will Smith’s scandal at Oscar ceremony —— Smith slapped Oscar host Chris Rock’s face, for Rock delivered an offensive joke on his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Kaniet first asked the students for their opinions, and then inspire them to consider should celebrities be used/set as a model for the society and any of their wrongdoings condemned? Students expressed their opinions freely, and learnt more spoken English.
