At the beginning, Kaniet shared an incomplete picture and asked the students to guess what did the man on the sofa do and what were the three people in the picture doing.
Students actively used their imagination to answer the questions. Some students thought that the man on the sofa was a leader, and he was discussing the business arrangement with the two people seriously.
Kaniet encouraged each student to think and speak more. He tried hard to give each student an opportunity to practice speaking.
After that, Kaniet shared the full image.
Under Kaniet's guidance, the students gradually achieved the same point of view: Maybe there is a criminal case which is committed by the old man, and a dog helps the police to verify the evidence of the crime.
There were still some students who insisted and supplemented their own views: Perhaps the older man sitting on the sofa killed his wife, but the policeman has some special relationship with his wife and is hesitating to arrest his boss.
Finally, Kaniet revealed the answer: It was an AD for dog food, and the producer wants to tell all dog owners not to let their dog starve, or the dog might lose his loyalty and even become an enemy of humans, which was really beyond the expectation of the students.
At the end of the activity, Kaniet asked for suggestions on this activity, hoping to do his best to help students improve their oral English. He said he hoped to meet the students offline soon and discuss more interesting topics.
