On the afternoon of April 10th, International Joint Institute of Auditing invited Shen Xintian, the head of Xintian Photography Studio, an alumnus of Nanjing Audit University, to give a lecture on photography instruction.
Shen Xintian introduced the basic knowledge and shooting methods of photography to the teachers and students from both theoretical and practical aspects, and introduced his photography concept and personal experience from the whole photography process respectively. Shen said it was more like an exchange and sharing session about his photography experience rather than a simple report.
Shen Xintian proposed that the first thing to learn photography was to learn to appreciate photos. He encouraged students to collect fresh photos every day through social media platforms. In the primary stage, people can quickly improve their appreciation and the ability of photography by imitating these excellent works. Similarly, planning was essential before taking a set of photos. Shen Xintian said that every time he shoot, he always hopes to have new perspectives and ideas. Only through thinking and innovation he could make continuous breakthroughs, so that he could keep his long-term interest in photography.
Speaking of photography, Shen Xintian first introduced several important parameters of the camera to the teachers and students, such as ISO (sensitivity of the light), aperture and shutter speed, etc. He suggested that the students should have a good understanding of these basic elements before acquiring their first camera.
Finally, Shen Xintian showed us the relevant software and methods of photo post processing, and intuitively demonstrated to teachers and students the important role of color temperature and tone on photo expression and emotional change through specific examples.
