On December 20, 2020, the first debate competition of the institute finished successfully in Minda building. After winning the preliminary competition and the semi-final, IBA2 and IFA2 entered the final competition. It was an honor to invite Zhang Jun, the director of the Propaganda Department of the University Youth League Committee, Jin Zhentong, student administrator of International Joint Audit Institute, Li Yanxi, the team leader of the university debate team, Yang Mingxuan and Ding Yang, the former and the current deputy leader of the university debate team, as judges. Class IFA2, the pro-side and class IBA2, the anti-side had an intense debate on the topic “whether adequate food and clothing is a necessary condition for talking about morality”.
In the end, Class IBA 2, the anti-side, won the competition. Jiang Yuanyuan from IBA2 class and Yu Jinxuan from IFA2 class won the title of “Best Debater” and “Gentle Debater” respectively and were awarded the certificates by the judges.
This debate had enriched the campus cultural life of students and broadened their horizons, improved their expression ability, adaptability, critical thinking ability and moral cultivation, and demonstrated the students’ good spiritual outlook in International Joint Audit Institute.
