On the afternoon of November 25th, the institute invited professor Jiang Zhenchun to give a theme lecture on "the Democratic Dilemma in the US Presidential Election and New Trend of Chinese-US Relations" in the room 104 of Jingbei. This lecture was hosted by Wang Jing, the deputy secretary and vice president of International Joint Audit Institute, with more than 160 students attending.
At the beginning of the lecture, professor Jiang Zhenchun focused on the US presidential election while reviewing the former presidents in American history, and analyzed the characteristics of voters who supported Biden and Trump, pointing out personal and social reasons why Biden won without much effort while Trump lost as well as analyzing the democratic dilemma in the United States.
Then, professor Jiang Zhenchun made comparisons between the two countries’ policy and culture towards the recent pandemic and their comprehensive national power in an easy-understanding approach, emphasizing America's misconceptions about China's reform and opening-up policy and the strategic intentions made by America. He also objectively analyzed the new features of adjustment of the United States policy with the conclusion of new trend of Biden’s foreign policies toward China.
professor Jiang Zhenchun considered that we ought to adjust the new strategies immediately so as to cope with all-dimensions, multi-fields and frequent competitions between China and the United States. He pointed out that teenagers were the future of the country and the hope of the nation therefore he sincerely hoped that students of International Joint Audit Institute should pay more attention to current affairs, stay global, promote their skills and make contributions to the motherland.
This lecture was vivid and lively making all students broaden their international horizon and benefit a lot.
