On the afternoon of Nov.11, 2020, International Joint Audit Institute launched its the second “International Audit Lecture”, inviting dean Ge Sheng of School of International Exchange, to give a lecture on “International Audit Competence Training”.The lecture was presided over by Zhang Wenxiu, deputy dean of International Joint Audit Institute.
Ge Sheng started to interact with students by using three questions, including “What is your impression of Africa”, “Can remote audit be carried out”, and “What is the basic quality to achieve the goal of talent development”. Then, with his rich audit experience, Sheng vividly explained what audit was and introduced United Nations Board of Auditors. He pointed out that in international audit, the auditors should have international vision, Chinese national honour and global competitiveness, which was too his expectancy for all students. He also recommended websites and resources of some international audit organisations to students and sorted out the “one horizontal and one vertical” audit logical framework. He hoped that students can cultivate national feelings, build international audit knowledge system, master big data ability, train communication ability, strengthen logic ability and enhance culture understanding ability.
Finally, Ge Sheng encourages students to read and travel thousands of miles and strive to become high-level international audit talents who have both global vision and national feelings, and be familiar with international auditing standards and globally competitive.
